A temporary research assistant position is available immediately in the Feske lab at NYU Medical Center. The position is limited to 3-6 months but can potentially be renewed depending on performance.
Requirements:
Highly motivated and responsible individual with a MA/MS (Biology or related field) or BA/BS plus > 3 years of experience in a research lab. The candidate must have work experience in either of the following areas: (i) molecular biology including cloning and mammalian cell culture OR (ii) advanced live-cell imaging techniques including FRET and TIRF microscopy OR (iii) immunological techniques including isolation of immune cells, FACS, mouse models of immune disease. Candidates with experience in handling of transgenic mice, immunological research and the related research methods are particularly encouraged to apply.

The candidate should be well organized, independent and willing to learn. Good communication skills in oral and written English are essential.
Research in the Feske lab focuses on calcium signaling pathways in the immune system, their molecular regulation and role in immune responses using transgenic mouse models. For more information see: http://pathology.med.nyu.edu/people/faculty/feske-stefan
The lab is located in the Smilow Research Center on the NYUMC campus located in midtown Manhattan.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
